With plans to demo an existing dilapidated warehouse, the managers of the property had a need for additional parking blended with beautification and functionality. We initiated the design with an expansive parking area using decorative permeable pavers capable of soaking in over 900 inches/hour of rainfall. The new parking area then leads into a beautiful park and walking path landscaped at every turn with sustainable plant material. Shaded seating areas grace the park along the paths for a break from the sun. The centerpiece of the park is a sculpture representing the coal workers who helped create an economic sector in the Virgin Islands. The design is topped off with a new welcome center and a restroom facility.
